Created in February 2000, its expansion in 2005/06 included employment services in Cumberland County for all Persons with Disabilities, African Nova Scotians and youth. This organization serves all citizens in Cumberland County with a population base of 32,605. Sites have been established in Springhill, Pugwash, Parrsboro and Oxford, with weekly outreach extended to River Hebert and Joggins. Maintaining on-site Employment Counsellor for Persons with Disabilities as well as other career facilitators and employment specialists, CANSA has projected to provide interventions to over 350 clients annually.
